Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church is a Christian community where all people are invited to experience God’s transforming grace.

Our mission is to be avenues of God’s grace by welcoming all, empowering all, and working together to glorify God.

If you are looking for a place of Christ Centered Worship with warm and caring fellowship, come to Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church. Our church began as a mission church and in 1893 with the support of a benefactor, an edifice was constructed and it became Stewart Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church.   In 1967, the name changed to Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church and became a member of the Florida Conference. It has a rich heritage of moral and civic engagement, and educational leadership in the local area and beyond.  Among its members was Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, founder of Bethune-Cookman College and advisor to four United States Presidents; thus, the church has been in the fore-front of diversity and equity.
